Fleurie Vieilles Vignes (Xmas 25)

  • Regular price £20.95

The village of Fleurie makes some of the most beautiful wines of Beaujolais. The name means ‘floral’ and when you taste the wines, you’ll see why. This is the home of the Gamay grape, which makes elegant, feather-light wines with refreshing drinkability. This is lovely by itself or with savoury snacks and starters.

Tasting NotesSomewhere between black cherry, blueberry and blackberry, this is full of youthful vibrancy and has a really joyful demeanour. Light in body but not thin, it's ripe and juicy, with a subtle crackle of acidity running through it, extending the finish. A subtle violet note confirms its origins - Fleurie means 'floral'.
