If you’re having roast beef or lamb, you’ll want a full-bodied red wine to match. This is a pure Monastrell (a.k.a. Mourvèdre) from sunny southern Spain, a grape with concentrated black fruits that works well with punchy, flavoursome food. Castaño’s wines offer incredible value for money.

Wine CategoryPowerful, ripely fruited, oaky reds
Tasting NotesBrambly fruits and mint, with a subtle lick of vanilla oak. Silky on the tongue, with soft but grippy tannins - a wine you can chew on. Ripe, juicy and well balanced, very well made for such a bold wine. Would suit Malbec fans, or Rioja lovers that want something a bit richer and fuller. A lot of wine for the money.
