Junge Löwen

  • Regular price £17.50

Three umlauts in one wine! How on earth do you pronounce it? Nobody knows. But it doesn’t matter – this Austrian red from the warm Burgenland region has wonderful energy, vibrancy and lift. The main grape is Blaufränkisch and it’s topped up with St Laurent (a bit like Pinot Noir). So drinkable and moreish.

Wine CategoryMedium-bodied, juicy, soft reds

Tasting NotesDeep purple colour. Lovely aromas of liquorice, blackberry and violets. Light- to medium-bodied, a very smooth and appealing style. Juicy acidity rises on the finish and it has good tannic grip and intensity. This has real energy, brightness and lift.
