Primitivo Rosato

  • Regular price £16.75

Deeply coloured but still enjoyably dry, this hails from Puglia in southern Italy. The Primitivo grape is better known for reds, but owner Mark Shannon and his partner Elvezia Sbalchiero show that it can make flavoursome, food-friendly rosés too.

Wine CategoryMedium-bodied, elegant, neutral whites

Tasting NotesDeeply coloured for a rosé, with strawberry and raspberry aromas and more flavour and body than a typical pink wine. It's medium-bodied - quite generous in body in fact- but has firm, dry, fresh, textured finish. A great choice for barbeques - it would stand up to food, but is enjoyable by itself too.
